Established since 1987 at the Marina of Bas du Fort, the Aquarium of Guadeloupe offers visitors the discovery of the marine fauna of the Caribbean, a marvelous, colorful and sometimes strange world. About thirty basins representing more than 450,000 liters of seawater present the different biotopes of Guadeloupe. The coral reef obviously holds a privileged place there, but the mangroves, the sandy bottoms and the abyss are also presented there with the fish, invertebrates and plants that inhabit them. Video points and educational panels accompany the visit. The Aquarium of Guadeloupe allows you to combine relaxation and education and to bring a new perspective under the sea. The Aquarium receives more than 100,000 visitors each year.
The Ecole de la Mer association was born out of a partnership with the Aquarium of Guadeloupe to develop and improve the educational activities that take place there.
Seatour, boat trips, in the Grand Cul de Sac reserve are available.
Two restaurants and a shop are also accessible on the site of the Center de la Mer de la Guadeloupe, which has a large car park.
