18 June @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Save the Date of June 18th for a briefing on the state of the oceans and deep dive into Sea Shepherd’s campaigns to protect endangered marine wildlife worldwide. The briefing will be open to the press and public. RSVP is required at rsvp@seashepherd.org.

This briefing is in partnership with DJI whose drones are critical in every one of our campaigns.

Beginning at 9 am, the half-day session at a centrally located Washington DC hotel will include Sea Shepherd’s captains, crew members, scientists, Mexican Ambassador to the US Esteban Moctezuma, world-renowned vaquita porpoise expert Dr Barbara Taylor, and more. Sessions will focus on:

Our 10-year-long campaign to protect the Vaquita porpoise in the Upper Gulf of California.
A deep dive on the 2024 Vaquita Survey which took place in May 2024.
Our long-running campaigns to study and help protect Cuvier’s beaked and humpback whales off Guadalupe Island and the Revillagigedo Archipelago
Our Stop The Grind campaign north of Scotland to end the killing of pilot whales and whited-sided dolphins in the Faroe Islands
Our campaigns currently under development to defend loggerhead turtles in the Gulf of Ulloa and grouper in Bajos del Norte.
Our partnership with Sea Shepherd Global to protect the krill population of Antarctica from plundering by industrial trawlers.
We will also provide an update on our fleet and a look forward to what 2024 and 2025 hold for our campaigns. RSVP for the 2024 Sea Shepherd State of the Oceans Briefing at rsvp@seashepherd.org
