On June 8, 2024, in celebration of World Ocean Day, Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Sorong, under the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia, conducted a beach cleanup activity. This event took place along the coast of Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Sorong and involved the entire academic community, especially the young and enthusiastic cadets. The participants energetically cleaned up various types of plastic waste scattered along the beach. Through this activity, it is hoped that awareness of the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the ocean and the surrounding environment will be increased, making a tangible contribution to the preservation of marine ecosystems
