MBRC The Ocean protects the ocean in collaboration with community based organizations, companies and NGOs like Sustainable World Initiatives in Tanzania.
We expect to host Africa’s biggest cleanup, where we shall clean 7 beaches in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Dar Es Salaam City Council has stated that only 46-50 percent of 4,600 of solid waste produced daily is collected – the rest are scattered in streets and end up in the Indian Ocean.
Beach Cleanups are not enough – hence we shall raise awareness via our symposium, which is themed to enhance innovative solutions to ocean pollution.
