This past weekend our very own Dr. @dayne_buddo , Director of Field Research & EcoXpeditions and Chris Grace, Aquarium Dive Safety Officer had the chance to begin the certification process for 10 Atlanta area students through @frankski and @frankskikids!
These 10 students will be embarking on the trip of a lifetime this July, where they will travel to O’ahu, Hawaii for hands-on marine science and conservation work including coral restoration and reef surveying!
They will be completing their certification through PADI once in Hawaii and we will be there to document the process, so stay tuned!!!
The newest division launched by BayEcotarium will bring you up-close and personal with hands-on conservation work in destinations around the world!
Participants will have the chance to tag sharks, contribute to real conservation work, document research, and engage in a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience based around marine conservation.
Hawaii (O’ahu): July 17-21, 2021 (SOLD OUT)
Focus: Shark research and conservation, hands-on training and experience in shark tagging and underwater shark visual monitoring
Hawaii (O’ahu): August 7th-14th, 2021
Focus: Marine protected areas and coral restoration, hands-on training and experience in reef surveys and coral restoration
Florida Keys: October 16th-23rd, 2021
Focus: Hands-on training and experience in marine protected areas, coral restoration and lionfish management
Mexico: November 14th-21st, 2021
Focus: Marine Protected areas, whale sharks, bull sharks
