Canvas of the Wild: Virtual Orca Drawing Lesson – Kids & Adults

8 June, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

Join us LIVE online to learn how to draw an orca on June 8th with artist @Kellyofthewild to celebrate world ocean day! Mark your calendars for 6pm ET/ 3pm PT; all you need is a pencil and paper to learn all the steps to drawing an orca from scratch, and tune-in to Kelly’s Instagram or the Oceanic Preservation Societies Instagram. We can’t wait to draw with you!

Found in every ocean in the world, orcas are the most widely distributed of all cetaceans with several different populations and ecotypes. These distinct groups have different body types, feeding habits, behaviors, and even dialects! The one we will be drawing is inspired by the endangered Southern resident orca found along the British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon coastlines.

Join our community on @canvasofthewild to explore our ocean further with coloring pages, art classes, and more!
