Collective Action for the Arafura and Timor Seas
14 June, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am WIB

Coral reefs, fish populations, a quarter of the world’s mangroves, seagrass beds, large marine wildlife, shorebirds, and seabirds all thrive in the Arafura and Timor Seas (ATS) area. As a result, this region offers essential ecosystem services to communities surrounding the ATS, while also contributing to global economic and ecological well-being.
The theme of this year’s United Nations World Oceans Day will be Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean. The ocean connects, sustains, and supports us all. Yet its health is at a tipping point and so is the well-being of all that depends on it.
Join the World Ocean Day webinar from @Program_atsea virtually on 14 June 2022, to learn about the Arafura and Timor Seas communities, ideas and solutions that are coming together to protect and revitalize the ocean and everything it sustains 🌊🐋
