World Ocean Day is very important for the people around the world to look forward to the future we want. The concept of “World Ocean Day” was first proposed in 1992 through the “Earth Summit” event in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) with the aim of celebrating our oceans connectivity to the ocean subject which is now is very important to build awareness and to share responsibility for all of us on how to protect nature in order to provide prosperity for our and the next generation lives and healthy ecosystems, ensuring social and cultural.
World Ocean Day provides an unique opportunity for students, organizations, businesses, governments and all communities to celebrate World Ocean Day which unites all of us, in particularly for Timor-Leste nation wide to celebrate the current World Ocean Day with the theme on “Collective action to develop blue economy for Timor-Leste.”
