We are reaching out to extend an invitation for you to participate in our upcoming World Ocean Day Event, taking place in Deerfield Beach (just North of the pier on the sand) on June 1st, 2024, 9am to 2pm.
In collaboration with various local partners such as the Deerfield Beach Boys and Girls Club, the City of Deerfield Beach, Island Water Sports, and globally renowned artist Beatriz Chachamovits, Surf Skate Science is organizing a special event to celebrate World Reef Day, which falls on June 1st.
Our initiative aims to engage and educate students and families about the significance of coral reefs. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with Beatriz Chachamovits in creating a coral reef installation that will be installed on the sands near the Deerfield pier on World Ocean Day, with the goal of raising awareness among the public.
Join us in the mission to preserve our local ecosystem, which is integral to the health of our oceans. Explore educational booths hosted by local organizations. Be part of a community-driven art exhibit. Learn through Eco-Activities. Join the beach cleanup. Learn to surf with Island Water Sports.
