FOR PLANET OCEAN- Creativity Challenge on Instagram

This creative challenge is an ARTivism movement that aims to celebrate, educate & build community around all that is ocean. 🌊🌊 Through creativity and story-telling we help to bridge the ocean literacy gap and also highlight the work of our wonderful partnering organization- Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS).

We invite artists from all over the world to participate by responding to 5 ocean prompts during the month of June.

How to Join this challenge:

There will be 5 creative prompts throughout June. Use your creativity in any way to respond to these prompts-

6-8 June- Planet Ocean

9-11 June- Stories of the sea 

12- 14 June- Wonders Beneath the Waves

15-17 June- Ocean Curiosities 

18-20 June- The Ocean Unites

Our partnering organization this year, AMCS  @marineconservation.au , Australia’s leading national charity dedicated solely to protecting our precious ocean wildlife. Australia is home to some of the richest and most diverse marine environments on our planet: from coral reefs, to seagrass meadows, from mangroves to kelp forests and sub-Antarctic waters, so much to be inspired by. This of course means that Australia faces a real range of challenges in these marine environments and we are keen to tell the stories of the work AMCS does to protect and restore these wonderful ocean habitats.

“AMCS works on the big issues that risk our ocean wildlife. Together, we have protected critical ocean ecosystems with marine reserves around the nation, including Ningaloo and the Great Barrier Reef. We have led the movement to ban whaling, stopped supertrawlers, and protected threatened and endangered species like the Australian Sea Lion. Together, our community of ocean lovers save our oceans every day.”
