To celebrate World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, join us for a FREE screening of ‘Blue’ and some light refreshments
About this event
Liverpool City Council is teaming up with the Australian Marine Conservation Society to bring you a FREE screening of ‘BLUE’ for Liverpool residents.
You don’t need to live near the beach to feel the effects of our changing oceans or make a difference.
BLUE takes us on a provocative journey into the ocean realm, witnessing a critical moment in time when the marine world is on a precipice. Featuring passionate advocates for ocean preservation, BLUE takes us into their world where the story of our changing ocean is unfolding. We meet those who are defending habitats, campaigning for smarter fishing, combating marine pollution and fighting for the protection of keystone species. This feature documentary comes at a time when we are making critical decisions that will decide the legacy we leave for generations to come.
BLUE shows us there is a way forward and the time to act is now.
Winner of various awards including Ozflix independent film awards and Byron Bay International Film Festival.
Light refreshments are provided and each attendee will receive a free plastic reduction kit.
This screening thanks to the Australian Marine Conservation Society; supported by Good Pitch Australia (Shark Island Institute & Documentary Australia Foundation).
