Global Ocean Treaty rally and dance party

This month, world leaders will gather at the United Nations to continue negotiations on a Global Ocean Treaty. This meeting may be the world’s last chance to secure a treaty that will protect at least 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030. Fragile ocean life–and the resources all humanity relies on–are at stake.

On Thursday, August 18, Greenpeace offices, frontline communities, artists, and activists will hold a rally outside UN headquarters to celebrate the world’s oceans and demand that world governments make history by protecting them.
