Great Barrier Reef Ocean Swim Series
4 September, 2022

The 2022 swims will take place in September & October 2022 which is during Australia’s winter months that are very temperate in Far North Queensland. These are also the months when prevailing weather conditions suite the swims and risk of inclement marine-life are minimal.
There are two event days on this year’s calendar:
- The ‘Classics’ Swim – 3 or 5 km – 4th of September 2022
- The ‘Challenge’ Swim – 4th of October 2022 – Held in these age bands: Mens, Ladies, age groups: Up to 29 years on the date of the swim, 30/39, 40/49, 50/59, 60+
The swims are around either a 1000 or 1500 metre course directly over either Moore Reef – approximately 50km off the Cairns coastline, or Agincourt Reef 70km off Port Douglass. The courses are from one of the Quicksilver Pontoons are either of the reefs and are directly above the stunning Great Barrier Reef
Registration packages are fully inclusive of your day out on the reef – transfers on the Quicksilver Reef Ferry, your race, merchandise pack, event participation medal, photography, videos, lunch and the opportunity to enjoy any of snorkelling, scuba or the semi submersible submarine.
