Join Gwinnett County Public Library’s Dacula Branch and our partners on June 8 for virtual programming to celebrate the ocean! The World Ocean Day event covers topics about conservation, environmentalism, and ecology of the ocean. Sessions will be held all day on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. via Zoom with each program lasting approximately 45 minutes long and 15 minute breaks in between.
Partners for this year’s World Ocean Day include the Go Fish Museum, the Department of Natural Resources, UGA professor Dr. Merryl Alber, the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM), and local student, Hannah Bonvechio with Trash for Turtles! World Ocean Day seeks to “celebrate and take action for our shared ocean, which connects us all. By working together, we can — and will — protect and restore our shared ocean.”
