The Blue Expedition will set sail from Sept-Îles on August 26, 2022 for a 3-week stay in the heart of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, between the lower North Shore and the Magdalen Islands.
The first Ecofeminist movement to tackle the St-Lawrence in Québec, the project highlights the inclusiveness and diversity of voices in the context of the climate crisis. Anchored in an interdisciplinary approach, the expedition serves to elevate the voices of women researchers from a wide range of backgrounds, including creative writing, visual arts, biology, engineering and ecology. The project will also serve as a platform for multimedia creation, and for a production led by Organisation Bleue, which will make its first feature-length documentary about the voyage aboard the sailboat and the discovery of the territory experiencing the greatest changes due to global warming and pollution.
Join a virtual panel and discussion about the climate crisis, plastic pollution and ecofeminism; discover the itinerary and meet the interdisciplinary team that will set sail on this trip of a lifetime!
Partners: UQAR, McGill, RQM, Organisation Bleue
