Join us as we celebrate World Ocean Day with snacks, activities, & crafts for the whole family with a special presentation from the San Antonio River Authority Planning Coordinator, Michelle E. Garza.
Michelle E. Garza will present on our impact on the San Antonio River, the San Antonio Bay, and ultimately the Gulf of Mexico. She will discuss the threats our creeks and rivers face, and the work being done to protect and repair this very important ecosystem. Join us to learn more about the work the River Authority is doing and what you can do to help!
Learn how inland conservation helps the oceans and how to recycle properly!
Help us collect craft and STEM project materials by bringing your plastic water bottles, 2-liter bottles, and pennies.
All pennies collected will be used in an upcoming STEM Submarine project and then donated to the Friends of the Leon Valley Public Library. Our goal is 500 or $5.00 in pennies.
