We would like to invite high school students to participate in our upcoming Mission: Blue STEM competition. So far we have more than 20 countries that have expressed interest in joining and we hope you will too!
This challenge, organized by Brilliant Labs, aims to welcome youth from across the world to explore groundbreaking technologies, innovate their own tech/designs and find solutions for the blue economy.
Please join us at our Splash Day Webinar Event!
Date: June 15, 2023
Time: 3:15 PM (ADT) | 3:45 (NDT)
This Splash Day Webinar Event will introduce the Mission: Blue competition and how students (and mentors) can get involved. During the webinar, you will have the opportunity to hear from academic and industry guests who will provide valuable insights into the competition.
The Mission: Blue challenge comprises three exciting competition categories:
Unlike traditional poster board competitions, this challenge emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and creating prototypes. Participants are encouraged to showcase proof of concept, even if their prototypes are not 100% complete.
The Blue Economy, as you may know, focuses on the sustainable and responsible use of ocean resources while supporting the preservation and conservation of marine ecosystems. This challenge highlights the potential for innovation, job creation, and economic growth in industries related to the ocean, such as renewable energy, autonomous systems, and marine conservation.
The competition will run from June 15 until November 2023. Awards and prizes for the competition will be announced in September, but we want to start engaging our students and forming teams early. I encourage you to start thinking about potential teams and inviting students who would be interested in exploring this International STEM challenge.
Let’s inspire our students to be a part of this incredible opportunity and unleash their creativity, problem-solving skills while promoting the health and wealth of our oceans.
