Movie Screening “Albatross”

Ashta District 8

Jakarta Selatan, South Jakarta City, Jakarta, Indonesia

Organized by NAvakara - Ways to Zero Waste

NAvakara brings “Waste Less Films Series”, in conjunction with World Ocean Day that falls annually on June 8.

Albatross is a powerful visual journey into the heart of a symbolic environmental tragedy. On one of the remotest islands, thousands of baby albatrosses lie dead with their bodies filled with plastic. Returning to the island over several years, artist Chris Jordan witnessed the cycles of life and death of these birds as a multi-layered metaphor for our times.
A 30-minute movie discussion will follow at end of the screening, with our friends Maggie (Beli Yang Baik – WWF Indonesia), Rozan (Daya Qarsa Consulting), and Diky (Saya Pilih Bumi – NatGeo Indonesia)
