The Wildlife and Human Resources Organisation (WHRO Ghana) will organise a one-day awareness in one second cycle school and one fishing community to create awareness on the importance of the ocean, the threats, and conservation needs (in the school) and benefits of good sanitation (in the community). The school and community are carefully selected due to their close proximity to the sea. The awareness will help initiate attitudinal change among the students and fisherfolks which we believe will help improve ocean conservation in their respective communities. The programme will involve game and interactions on the ocean to help make the day educative but also entertaining. PowerPoint talks and documentaries will be used in the awareness creation. Participants from the awareness will be encourages to join the beach cleanup to also contribute to the ocean conservation.
