This is a Marine Environmental Salon and Beach Cleanup Event in the Blue Valley of Qingdao, China. The event starts at 9:00 AM Beijing time and is designed for middle school students from remote mountainous areas of China, offering them a unique opportunity to learn about marine conservation and actively participate in protecting our oceans.
Event Schedule
Session 1: Ocean-Themed Science Lecture
Time: 9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Speaker: A teacher from the Blue Ribbon Ocean Conservation Association
Topic: Marine knowledge with a focus on cetaceans, particularly the East Asian Finless Porpoise, which is commonly found in the Yellow and Bohai Seas of China. The lecture will cover the current survival status of these porpoises and the importance of their conservation.

Session 2: Beach Cleanup Activity
Time: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Participants will be divided into groups to collect trash along the beach. The collected garbage will be sorted and recycled on-site, emphasising the importance of proper waste management and recycling in environmental conservation.
