Rubbish Portland: Ocean’s Month! A Community Trash Clean-Up Event

Luke's Lobster Portland Pier, Portland Pier, Portland, ME, USA

Organized by

Through community and neighborhood trash clean-up events, RUBBISH sparks conversation and engagement around avoiding single-use plastic, rethinking our waste stream, and the connection between the trash on our streets and the well-known issue of marine plastic pollution.

For our June RUBBISH event, we are focusing our lens a bit more closely on the ocean in honor of World Oceans Month. We’ll be picking up litter on Portland’s working waterfront and in the Old Port neighborhood.

Come get your trash on and enjoy some fun food and drink. And as always – you can win some pretty amazing raffle prizes!
