Help us clean the kelp forests offshore in the Santa Cruz area of Monterey Bay! We will meet at 345 Lake Ave at the Santa Cruz Harbor on Saturday, June 8 at 8:30am. We will then shuttle at 9am over to Natural Bridges State Beach, launch our crafts, and paddle alongside the kelp forests to the Santa Cruz Harbor. Please bring: a life vest, oar(s), food/water, sunscreen, waterproof jacket, hat, and anything else you need to be comfortable in the elements for a few hours. If you have a waterproof bag, work gloves, and a dive knife, please bring those.
Disclaimer: This event is for experienced swimmers aged 16 and up, who can successfully get back aboard their craft. This event is also entirely dependent on ocean conditions and we reserve the right to cancel or postpone for any reason.
Space is limited! To register, please contact our Managing Director Amelia Labbe at amelia@cointl.org
