The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is celebrating World Ocean Day! On June 8, we will be featuring three of the biggest ocean conservation concerns: marine debris, climate change, and overfishing. There will be activity booths around the aquarium exploring these concepts as well as conservation solutions. Our Discovery Classroom will also be transformed into an ocean habitat discovery zone where kids can delve into ocean diversity. The goal of our celebration is to not only encourage ocean literacy but showcase that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to conservation. There are countless ways for people to get involved and make a difference.
