World Ocean Weekend

8 June - 9 June

The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk invites guests to explore the wonders of the ocean with special activities during its World Ocean Weekend on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9.

 

Special Activities on Saturday, June 8: 

  • 9 to 10 a.m. – Exclusive members-only hour for members and four additional guests above their membership level.
  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Upcycled Tees with the Center for Contemporary Printmaking – a nonprofit printmaking studio, workshop and gallery in Norwalk. To participate in this activity, guests should bring an old shirt or cloth item to the Aquarium to upgrade with a new screen-printed design.
  • 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Free face painting for all guests.

 

Special Activities on Sunday, June 9: 

  • 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Free sand art activity for all guests while supplies last.
  • 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Free face painting for all guests.
