Hamad Othman (he/him) is a Climate Activist from Sudan based in Egypt, an ambitious Young African voice committed to building a more sustainable and just future. His journey is a testament to the power of passion and purpose, as he has actively engaged in a number of roles and initiatives, from being the ONE Campaign champion in Africa 2024 to advocating for climate action as an Ambassador for Doha Debates 2024. With each step, Hamad has been a tireless advocate for the environment, using his voice to champion causes ranging from desertification and loss and damage to climate adaptation. he believes in the potential of the youth to effect profound change, a belief reflected in his involvement with networks such as: YOUNGO, MENA Youth Network, Arab Youth Green Voices Network and Student Energy Cairo university Chapter . a fellow at Wavemakers United Egypt, the founder of AA for CC initiative, and a dedicated participant in a number of local, regional, and international gatherings (COP28, RCOY MENA 2023, LCOY Port Said 2023, etc.), Hamad exemplifies the intersection of passion, expertise, and action in terms of climate activism. In addition to his activism, he is currently planning to pursue master’s degree in economics at Cairo University.
