Kenzy (she/her) is a passionate advocate for ocean conservation and environmental justice, dedicated to harnessing technology to protect marine ecosystems. Born and raised along the Red Sea’s stunning coastline, Kenzy’s deep connection to the ocean has fueled her commitment to environmental stewardship.
As an incoming student at Stanford University, where she will pursue degrees in Environmental Policy and Computer Science, Kenzy is eager to explore the intersection of technology and marine conservation. Her ultimate goal is to develop innovative marine-tech solutions that address the urgent environmental challenges facing our oceans.
Currently, Kenzy serves as the Director of Education at EcoSpectrum, leading the development of the first ocean curriculum designed specifically for neurodivergent and autistic children. In this role, she creates inclusive educational materials, making ocean science and literacy accessible to all. Additionally, she is a founding member of CoralPatra, the first small-scale coral farm and rescue program in the Middle East and Africa.
Beyond her work with EcoSpectrum and CoralPatra, Kenzy volunteers with Friends of Ras Mohamed, advocating for coral reef restoration and sustainable fishing practices. Her approach to ocean activism is intergenerational, encompassing educational seminars, local clean-up events, and workshops.
Kenzy’s commitment to global environmental issues extends beyond her local community. As an Arctic Angel with Global Choices, she advocates for the protection of Arctic sea ice as an Arctic Ice Force Hub Leader in Egypt. In this role, she emphasizes the connection between the loss of Arctic ice and its impacts on the Middle East, working to engage people from all walks of life in the fight against climate change.
