Only One Earth
Inspired by UAE’s announcement of 2023 as the “Year of Sustainability” by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Funun Arts and Novotel Sharjah Expo Center, are pleased to announce the Second edition of the art event “Only One Earth”, to celebrate the World Environment Day & World Ocean Day on 2nd June 2023 at Novotel Sharjah Expo Center.
The event aims to celebrate and raise awareness about sustainability. The UAE has always been at the forefront of sustainable practices, ingraining them into every sector of its economy. Under the theme “Today for Tomorrow,” the Only One Earth art event emphasizes the UAE’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and its responsibility to safeguard the future. By taking action today, we ensure that we leave behind a legacy of stewardship for future generations, as our ancestors did for us.
The event will feature an engaging Art Exhibition centered on the themes of World Environment Day and World Ocean Day. It will showcase artworks that highlight the beauty of our planet, as well as the urgent need to protect and preserve it.
In addition to the art exhibition, a Panel Talk will be held to explore the connection between sustainability and art. This discussion aims to delve into how art can be a powerful tool to promote sustainable practices and inspire positive change.
Recognizing the crucial role of the youth in shaping the future, a dedicated Youth Talk session will provide a platform for young voices to share their perspectives on sustainability and discuss their ideas for a greener tomorrow.
Furthermore, the event will feature a unique Sustainable Live Painting session, where artists will create artwork in real-time, capturing the essence of sustainability and environmental consciousness.
Together, through the medium of art, we aim to raise awareness, inspire action, and foster a collective commitment towards sustainable solutions. Join us as we embark on this journey towards a better and more sustainable future.
