PICK-UP PLASTICS CAMPAIGN
May 18 – June 8, 2023
Every Morning 6 a.m. – 7 a.m.
The United Nations celebrates World Oceans Day every year on 8 June. Many countries have celebrated this special day since 1992. The ocean covers the majority of the earth, but only a small portion of its waters has been explored. Despite humanity’s utter reliance on it, and compared to the breadth and depth of what it gives us, the ocean receives only a fragment of our attention and resources in return.
India Youth For Society (IYFS) makes a fresh start with their new campaign Pick-up Plastics through which members and volunteers of IYFS goes on to streets and analyze the amount of plastics present in the dumper bins at 5.30 AM every morning and then the team goes for a beach clean up drive at 6 AM at Sagar Nagar Beach starting from 18th May, 2023 (Thursday).
We invite all the interested people to join hands with us.
