Reefscapers Marine Education Talk

8 June, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm MMT

Reefscapers, a marine consultancy company based in the Maldives, specializes in coral reef restoration using their coral frame technique to create coral gardens. These gardens increase coral abundance and create important habitats for marine life.

At 3pm on World Ocean Day 2022, join their marine biologists at 5pm for a 30×30 themed WOD marine talk. Ask your questions, learn about marine life, and how to protect our oceans!

In line with the World Ocean Day Conservation Action Focus, 30×30, Reefscapers is restoring coral reefs around the Maldives. Coral reefs support 25% of all marine life, making them one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. However, largely due to anthropogenic climate change, coral reefs are declining at alarming rates. Restoring coral reefs enhances resilience, and allows the marine life dependent on the reefs to persist. Learn how we do this as part of our marine talk, and get involved with our work!
