World Ocean Week – Suriname is a multi-day, free event dedicated to celebrating and protecting our oceans. Open to the entire community—students, families, industry professionals, and anyone interested—this event brings together scientists, conservationists, local experts, and stakeholders to explore the vital role oceans play in our lives.
Participants will engage in expert talks, documentary screenings, exhibits, and field excursions, all designed to deepen understanding of marine ecosystems, showcase job opportunities in ocean-related sectors, and highlight how local communities can actively contribute to ocean conservation.
With a focus on ocean literacy, inspiration, and collaboration, World Ocean Week – Suriname aims to empower a collective movement toward a healthier, more sustainable ocean future.
