Cromarty’s Coastal Critters

8 June @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm BST

  • Take a deep breath and dive into the amazing marine world on this family fun adventure and explore life beneath the waves: all without getting your feet wet on this fabulous walking tour of Cromarty beach! Packed with fun activities and stories to share, get ready to see Scotland’s seas in a whole new light and learn about (and take part in) the scientific projects currently taking place to help protect this fragile world! 🐚
    • Discover what lives beneath the sea without even getting your feet wet as an experienced guide takes you beneath the Cromarty Firth and introduces you to the weird and the wild!
    • Take part in active citizen science as we conclude the tour with a WDC Shorewatch survey in the hopes of catching a sighting of the famous resident Bottlenose Dolphins!
    • Hunt down clues to life beneath the waves on a seashore search for shells, egg cases, and if lucky even starfish and crabs!

This tour will be part of our exciting World Ocean Day celebration this Sunday – join us to learn more about the oceans past and present, and meet the neighbours who live in the big, beautiful seas around Scotland. Cromarty Coastal Critters will then be returning in July and August as part of our Summer Holiday of Super Science! 🐬
