2nd Annual Kauaʻi World Ocean Day Festival

8 June @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT

Hoʻomalu Ke Kai is excited to invite you to take part in our 2nd Annual Kauaʻi World Ocean Day Festival, happening on Sunday, June 8th, 2025 from 10am–4pm at Nukoliʻi Beach behind OUTRIGGER Kaua‘i Beach Resort.

This year’s festival is growing! We’re expanding the event to the larger lawn area on the Līhu‘e side of the resort with easy access to Nukoliʻi public beach park and tons of parking. With more space and more connection to our island community, we’re aiming to uplift even more amazing voices doing impactful work from mauka to makai. As we know Nukoliʻi is one of the marine debris hotspots for our island so a group cleanup like this could really make a difference!

We’re now accepting vendor, educator, practitioner, musician, and silent auction participants who share a passion for sustainability, ocean protection, and community education.

🔹 Sign up here:

📆 Deadline to apply: June 1st, 2025

Whether you represent a nonprofit, cultural practitioner group, keiki activity booth, eco-conscious business, or conservation org—we’d love to showcase your work and energy at this gathering. We’re also seeking more food vendors this year to nourish the crowd and keep the vibe going strong.

🎶 Calling All Local Musicians!

This year, we’re putting a big emphasis on live music and would love to hear from local artists and bands who want to be part of the day! If you have a set to share—even if you require a small budget to cover your time and expenses—please reach out or sign up using the form. We want to highlight voices that uplift our community and bring joyful energy to the celebration.

Highlights this year:

  • A larger, more accessible festival area

  • Increased focus on sustainable and educational vendors

  • A full day of live music and entertainment

  • Opportunities to donate to our silent auction

  • Great visibility for your cause or business

  • A community celebration of the ocean and those working to protect it!

🎤 Still seeking a stage setup! If you or someone you know has a portable stage (or ideas on where to find one), please reach out—we’d love to collaborate.

Mahalo for being a part of this collective effort to protect and celebrate the ocean, which makes up over 70% of our planet. Let’s come together in lōkahi for this important day!
