Whale Sanctuary Project: Ocean Day Guest Lecture

31 May @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

Free

Jeff Foster has worked in the marine mammal field for 45 years, and is currently the Animal Transfer and Rehabilitation Coordinator for the Whale Sanctuary Project. He played a key role in helping return Keiko, the real life “Free Willy” whale, to his home waters in Iceland. Jeff also oversaw the capture, rehabilitation, and successful reintroduction of Springer, the orphaned killer whale, in British Columbia. He was also responsible for the Tom and Misha Project–the first successful reintroduction of bottlenose dolphins into the wild.

For Ocean Day, Jeff will share some of his incredible whale stories and adventures from in the field. This event is free and wheel-chair accessible.
