Oceans, Food Security and SIDS: How Youth Can Build Resilient Blue Futures

About This Event

In celebration of World Ocean Day 2026, this youth-led webinar will bring together young leaders and ocean advocates from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) across the Indian Ocean and Caribbean regions to explore the critical link between ocean health, food security and sustainable development.

Through expert insights and youth perspectives from Mauritius, Seychelles and Grenada, participants will discuss how oceans contribute to food systems, livelihoods, climate resilience and blue economy opportunities. The webinar will also highlight practical ways young people can engage in ocean conservation, sustainable food systems and regional collaboration.

The event aims to foster dialogue, inspire action and strengthen connections among youth committed to building resilient and sustainable island futures.
