Exploring Ocean Gallery at RSCP Calicut

The Regional Science Centre & Planetarium, Calicut, celebrated World Oceans Day 2026 on 8 June 2026 at its Ocean Gallery under the theme “REIMAGINE – Beyond the World We Know, A New Relationship With Our Ocean.” Around 600 students and members of the public participated in the programme.

The event featured a guided walkthrough of the Ocean Gallery, awareness sessions on marine life and ocean features, an Open House Ocean Quiz, and an interactive “REIMAGINE with Ocean” activity where participants shared their thoughts on ocean conservation. A special selfie corner with a Blue Whale and Coral Reef backdrop added to the excitement. The programme successfully promoted awareness about the importance of oceans and the need to protect marine ecosystems for future generations.
