About This Event
Inspire, educate and make waves for the ocean!
The aim is to raise awareness, inspire, build community and also to contribute to safeguarding the ocean & marine wildlife. We want to build a movement to bring ocean literacy into the mainstream and reach communities that wouldn’t usually consider the importance of our ocean
How to Join the Challenge
The concept is simple- respond to these 4 ocean prompts designed to celebrate, raise awareness and highlight the work of our charity partner- 8th-24th June 2026
Use your creativity to celebrate, educate and inspire for Planet Ocean!
We invite you to participate by responding to ocean-themed prompts during the month of June on Instagram. You can respond in whatever format your creativity calls to you.
There will be 4 creative prompts across the weeks of June:
8th of June- Ocean Symbiosis #FP026Symbiosis
12th of June- Ocean Superheroes #FPO26Superheroes
16th of June- Ocean Mysteries #FPO26Mysteries
20th of June- Ocean of the Future #FPO26Future

Every year this challenge is hosted by a wonderful team of internationally acclaimed artists who are there to inspire and support anyone participating in the challenge.
The hosting artists will be supportive in various ways through auctions, print sales and by telling the stories of the incredible work they do.
We have some artists who really define themselves as ocean artists but others who usually work in other areas. This way we cross-pollinate more & spread the word wider. We’ve loved receiving questions about some of our previous prompts- “what is blue carbon?” & receiving comments from participants to say that that had seen seagrass on their coastline & hadn’t known what it was before. That is exactly our intention! Let’s get excited, make some art & some noise for planet ocean
