We need a strong plastics treaty before UNGA 2025 because plastic pollution is getting out of control – and fast. If we don’t act, plastic production is set to almost triple by 2060, and the damage will be even harder to undo. A real, binding global agreement could finally tackle the problem at its source, cutting how much plastic we make, banning the worst single-use items, and pushing for better, safer alternatives. The longer we wait, the worse the mess gets, so now’s the time to lock in big commitments and protect our planet for good.
