As part of the “Ocean of Possibilities” summer theme at public libraries across the USA, you’re invited to join your local library in a variety of activities – from movies, games, music, books, or just hanging out with friends (online opportunities available as well!). Check out your local library to learn more – and here’s an event you won’t want to miss:
In-person STEM craft activity to help celebrate all things water during our Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program. Kids–test your sailing skills by making your own miniature ship out of cork – pirates beware! Everyone will have fun assembling their ships and learning some science too! Why does your boat float? Does adding a sail make it move faster? Will it sail straight? Ahoy Matey! Best for kids ages 4 and up.
