At Mayekoo, we believe in taking real action to tackle beach and ocean pollution while supporting the communities that rely on Ghana’s coastline.
On June 7, 2025, to mark World Ocean Day, we’re organising a beach cleanup along the Labadi Beach stretch. This year’s theme, Catalyzing Action for our Ocean and Climate, is a call to move from awareness to impact.
We’re doing this to clear harmful waste from the shore, protect marine life, and make our beaches safer and more beautiful. A clean beach means more than just a better environment. It helps grow ecotourism, supports local fishing, and brings pride and opportunity back to the people who live and work by the sea.
This is not just a cleanup. It’s a step toward long-term change.
