Join Sylvia Earle and John Vermilye for a fireside chat as they discuss the movement for legal protection for our ocean and marine life as well as launch of the Ocean for Ecocide Law network. The official launch for this event will take place during World Ocean Week in NY on 07 June at the The Explorers Club. They will discuss how, in an anthropocentric world, Ecocide law will provide a much-needed legal framework to protect ocean wildlife and marine ecosystems. It recognizes the intrinsic value of the ocean and its ecosystems. This law aims to hold corporate decision-makers accountable for their actions and ensure ocean regulation and protection are taken far more seriously at the highest level, driving better due diligence, and stimulating strategic positive change.
