Due to the human activity, the global warming, the overfishing and plastic pollution have put the oceans of our planet in great danger. Science also taught us that sharks play a vital role in maintaining the marine balance and the health of the ocean waters across the entire planet.
However, between 63 and 273 million sharks are killed annually in the recent years and research has shown already that some shark populations have decreased by approximately 90% to 99%!
And plastic pollution in the ocean is today a global problem, not only for the entire marine life but inclusively for all human beings!
Friday June 10, we volunteer in Portugal on a new Cleanup Beach of Magoito, Sintra, between 16:30 – 19:00h.
This beach cleanup event will be followed by a vegan picnic and a Q&A shark talk, with our shark experts.
If you wish to volunteer please, send us a private message with your name and contact to: info@seiportugal.pt
Please, remember to bring your personnel gardening gloves and to wear comfortable footwear – don’t forget to bring your hat, light and comfortable clothes, headgear or sunglasses. Neither must you forget a bottle of water, snacks and a drink in a reusable bottle – including briefings and debriefings, some activities and Cleanups take between 2 and 3 hours. So, don’t forget to drink water regularly! And at the end of the journey, we can always have a drink at the beach bar to celebrate the ocean 😉
