Create a piece of art that reflects your experience taking the 1-Day Challenge and connects to one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Take the 1-Day Challenge
Spend one full day avoiding single-use plastic. Pay attention to what changes, what feels difficult, and what you notice.

Create an Original Artwork
Your submission can be in any form, including:
– Drawing or painting
– Digital art
– Photography
– Mixed media

Record a Short Video Reflection:
– Upload a short video (1–2 minutes recommended) sharing your experience during the 1-Day Challenge to avoid single-use plastic challenge.

You can talk about:
– What surprised you
– What was difficult
– What changed in how you think about plastic use

Write a Description (Max 250 Words)
Include a short written reflection (up to 250 words) explaining your artwork and how it connects to your experience and an SDG.

Submission Requirements:
– Artwork (image file or PDF)
– Video reflection (file or link)
– Written description (maximum 250 words)
– Your Instagram handle (optional, but required if you would like to be tagged)

All submissions must be received by July 15, 2026. $1000 winner to be announced by July 30, 2026.

Judging Criteria:
– Creativity and originality
– Connection to the 1-Day Challenge experience
– Clarity of connection to an SDG
– Thoughtfulness of reflection (written + video)

Showcasing Submissions:
– Selected works will be featured on Refuse & Reuse platforms
– We will create a compilation of submissions across mediums
I- f you provide an Instagram handle, we will tag your account when your work is shared

Additional Notes:
– All submissions must be original work
– By submitting, you grant Refuse & Reuse permission to share your work (with credit) across digital platforms
– You may submit individually or as a group
