When we talk about innovation, we often think of new technologies, digital tools, or advanced systems. But in the context of sustainable oceans and fisheries, innovation can also mean finding new ways to understand challenges, strengthen collaboration, support communities, and create long-lasting impact.
In commemoration of World Oceans Day 2026, Jaringan Laut Nusantara (Jalanusa) and the Tuna Consortium invite friends, colleagues, and partners working across marine conservation, fisheries, sustainability, technology, community engagement, and the blue economy to join:

Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Ocean and Fisheries Management
This session is designed as a relaxed yet meaningful space to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore important questions together:
💡 What solutions already exist but still need stronger support?
💡 What kinds of collaboration are needed for the future of Indonesia’s oceans?
💡 How can innovation become more inclusive, contextual, and impactful?
💡 How do we move beyond short-term funding and create a lasting legacy?
We will be joined by inspiring speakers who will share different approaches to technology and innovation in marine conservation and fisheries:

Sharing about a “one-stop shopping mall” platform for all things related to coral reefs.
🔹 Shinta Yuniarta – Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara
Introducing FishFace, an app that helps fishers identify fish species.
🔹 Intan Destianis – Yayasan Rekam Nusantara
Sharing about IKAN, a citizen-science-based fisheries data platform.
🔹 Michella Irawan – Collabit
Highlighting how fish waste can be transformed into value-added collagen products.
