Aashi Agarwal (she/her) is a 22-year-old climate advocate, ocean ally, and youth
entrepreneurship leader from Kolkata, India. Her story begins in the East Kolkata Wetlands
which is a UNESCO Ramsar site that sustains her city through its unique system of
sewage-fed fisheries and farmlands. Growing up near this living example of how water,
livelihoods, and ecosystems are interconnected shaped her commitment to protecting
vulnerable environments and inspired her advocacy for both land and ocean systems.
She currently serves as the Brand Partnerships Lead at Greenlit, she works with businesses
to align sustainability-driven strategies with creating impact in the events and entertainment

sustainability-driven strategies with impact. Alongside this, as the Head of Engagement at
Planet Pact, she leads community engagement, partnerships and youth mobilisation for
sustainability-focused initiatives.
Her entrepreneurial leadership began with the Hult Prize Foundation, the ‘Nobel Prize’ for
students for social innovation. There, she guided her campus to win Regional Program of the
Year (Central & South Asia) and later World Program of the Year (2024) across 1,000+
universities. Beyond accolades, she mentored and coordinated more than 250 SDG-focused
startups across 30+ countries, many tackling challenges tied to sustainability, circularity, and
water resources.
Aashi is also a Fellow with the FXB Climate Advocates Program, Climate Collective, Global
Shapers ClimateConnect, and Life of Pachamama, and a COP30 participant with the
UNFCCC Climate Catalysts Programme 2.0, PRME Students’ COP30 Program and The
Climate Reality Project’s Youth for COP 2025. These experiences have expanded her
perspective on how youth action can accelerate solutions for oceans, wetlands, and
climate-vulnerable communities. She is also a Climate Leader at The ClimAct Initiative,
driving campaigns and awareness around climate justice, resilience, and the protection of
ecosystems, on land and at sea. In addition, she contributes to Net Zero Tracker, enhancing
accountability around climate pledges.
For Aashi, protecting our planet’s waters, whether the wetlands that sustain Kolkata or the
oceans that sustain life globally, is at the heart of climate action. She sees her role as
bridging entrepreneurship, advocacy, and policy to ensure that sustainability is not just an
idea, but a lived reality for both people and ecosystems.
